Inside Sales/Business Development Executive

Role Overview

We are an established, Irish-based company that provides supply chain automation services to our customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptive Inside Business Development Executive to join our growing team to help maximise sales opportunities to new and existing customers throughout Ireland and UK.

Target Market

You will be developing the sales pipeline with a diverse range of stakeholders, influencers and decision-makers that includes, CFOs, senior executives and operations people. These will typically be in mid to larger sized companies, the majority will be based in the U.K.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate New Market qualified leads (MQLs) via telephone and communications such as targeted emails and social media to introduce the product suite
  • Identify appropriate buyers within the target market
  • Disseminate, collate and organise the information gained into market qualified leads which are useful to the sales team
  • Collaborate with the Sales director on a segmented campaign-based approach to demand generation
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate
  • Achieve 50 market qualified leads per month
  • Ability to work on multiple campaigns at the same time and prioritise work load

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience selling into the U.K. and/or other overseas markets.
  • Proven track record in establishing and developing successful long-term relationships, via email, telephone and social media
  • Ability to demonstrate effective questioning and active listening
  • Experience prospecting, needs analysis and negotiation in business-to-business scenario
  • Strong experience with telephone and online communications, including web-based sales conferencing and online prospecting.
  • Ability to work to and overachieve on targets
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Positive approach to change.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work as part of a small team.


  • Third-level qualification or equivalent in business, finance, e-commerce, business development
  • 3-4 years inside business development experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)


  • Salary: 30k to 40k depending on experience, potential to earn €50k+ including commission
  • Office hours, Monday to Friday
